Some of these stories were first published in an identically named but much smaller
booklet sold at David's talks on the subject, but they have all been considerably expanded and are joined by
many new tales forgotten by many folklorists, including those from places
which only joined Berkshire in the late 20th century. The book is divided into sections so
that you can choose whether to read it all together, or just pick the
subject you want to know about. It is A5, contains 108 pages, is
illustrated by 43 black and white images, has a full index and covers
